A new economics report is out
June 23rd, 2009 |
Another of the very interesting Eve Online Economic Reports are out, for the first quarter of 2009. The first thing to notice is that the subscription base is still increasing. Anyone saying Eve Online is an old or dying game should check out the nice numbers CCP are pulling in. Active subscribers in Eve Online is now up to 250 000, and still going up.
One of the things I look at first when checking the report, is the ISK numbers, maybe because I am a carebear trader and industrialist. The average walletsize has gone from 300 mill isk to 500 mill isk the last 2007. As the ships are getting more and more expensive, it is not very surprising. The number of characthers having over a billion ISK is up to about 30 000, about 15 % of the total accounts in Eve Online. The mineral index is steady, with some expected fluctuations around the times major patches are released.
The new wormhole materials, and sleeper salgaved materials is the second interesting thing. One of the most interesting things is that 67 % of all sleeper tech traded is done in Jita. I was hoping that this would spread out a bit more, but I guess most of those trading these materials in Eve Online is doing it in corps that have the infrastructure to haul everything to Jita and sell it there.
If you are interested in any of the statistics, check out the report.
